Our Story
Jane’s Story
When Tony was diagnosed with ADHD several years ago, I was deep into my neurodiversity training. As an experienced mental health professional and life coach, I thought I had the tools to help. But Tony said something that really stuck with me:
“Well, Mum, I can’t learn to be neurotypical, so you’ll have to step up and help me manage this.”
That was a turning point.
I knew that ADHD coaching in the UK wasn’t regulated, and most services weren’t provided by clinical experts. The quality and standards varied widely, making it hard to find someone knowledgeable, unbiased, and truly equipped to support Tony’s needs.
Along the way, I discovered some troubling realities:
- ADHD coaching—whether public or private—is a postcode lottery.
- Private coaching is often expensive and time-consuming.
- Availability is inconsistent, making it difficult to fit into daily life.
- Travelling to sessions isn’t always practical—or environmentally sustainable.
And then it hit me—if I couldn’t find a coach I trusted for my own son, others must be struggling with the same challenge.
Tony’s Story
I was diagnosed with ADHD at 30. While the diagnosis helped me make sense of my experiences, it also left me wondering: Now what?
There was little support available. I was prescribed medication, which helped for part of the day, but it also came with side effects I wasn’t comfortable with. I needed more than just medication—I needed tools to understand and manage my symptoms in a way that worked for me.
Working with Jane, we set out to create a program based not just on clinical research and best practices but also written for people like me—people with ADHD, who need reliable and clinically based information that actually makes sense to us.
This wasn’t just about my own journey. It became about helping others who, like me, felt lost after their diagnosis.
